When your mom

is your PRIDE!

For generations, shame and silence have been used as tools to suppress sexual diversity.

This film began as a reflection on the weight of society's words and the impact they have on children growing up in families that exist outside heteronormative expectations.

Language is powerful. Powerful enough that something as simple as inclusive language can still make people uncomfortable.

Yet throughout the making of this film, I discovered something far more powerful than language itself: love.

Love is what silences shame.

Love is what allows pride to take its place.

Today, PRIDE is a political act, one that dignifies identity and stands against discrimination in all its forms.

It is also the word I think of when I think about love.
